Exercise: How to Cite a Book (Harvard)

In this exercise you will create your own book citation within some written text.

Here is a passage written by a student for their Feline Studies assignment. The citations are missing.

Although [a] notes that it is uncertain when cats first become domesticated, the proliferation of advice on cat care [b,c] demonstrates how close the relationship between cat and human has become.

The information sources are:

a: Clutton-Brock, J. (1981) Domesticated animals from early times. London: Heinemann.
b: Evans, M. (1992) How to look after your pet kitten. London: Dorling Kindersley.
c: Pope, J. (1986) Taking care of your cat. London: Franklin Watts.

Select the correct style of citation to replace [a] in the passage above:
